I reject the common religious assertion that sex outside the narrow social confines of marriage is sinful or wrong. Where the sexual activity is among consenting adults, I reject the assertion that it is sinful. However private or perverse, I reject the assertion. I am trying to ignore it all together.

In practice, most of us do already. But as a matter of ideological expression, I doubt you have declared as much.

What is interesting, I think you will find, is that once you liberate your morality from this peculiar dogma, there is little in the way of religious morality that stands out as especially insightful or exceptional. The pervert, for all his perversions, is no less virtuous than the minister or priest. Very often, they are one and the same.
