I have studied philosophy for a long time and I have been unable to shake the basic impression that how most men act is mostly controlled by what they think will make them more successful and by a lesser extent what they think will make them more attractive and that how most women act seems to be dictated by what they think will make them more attractive and to a lesser extent what they think will make them successful. For this reason, I have decided to discontinue the study of philosophy. In the end, understanding the ways of the world is a miserable burden. And it is no way to be successful.
Anyone who uses the word "moral" outside the confines of a philosophy seminar is probably full of shit, if not deeply immoral.
Philosophy is not the love of knowledge so much. It is more like a curiosity that transcends mere gossip. There are few true philosophers in the world today. Especially among philosophers.
